I totally missed the going live announcement and found my way in by accident! bed pain: i sleep like i'm heavily pregnant, ie with aching hip propped up at right angle to body on pillows. Oh, the glamour of it all.

Oooh new forum - strange.

I also have memory foam pillow bought in sale at Dunelm - pricey normally but worth it's weight in gold for neck/shoulder.

The only thing I can suggest Jenni is matress topper. When I got mine I was a bit skint and couldn't afford the proper memory foam ones but I got a fairly decent one for £20 from theshoetailor.com - strange I know but they sell all sorts of things.

Hi Jenni!

When I have my terrible hip pain I couldn't bare to even lie down, or sit up. As standing is not an option to sleep, the only way I could endure being in bed was to lie right on my tum?

Right, now I have to work out how to send this and then (no doubt) call M to ask him to sort a photo out....again! LOL

God Bless you!

Nice to see some more of you have found your way!ThumpUp

I have to say I thought Jenni was lowering the tone again with that titleLaugh

I lie in the "unconscious " position, you know like the one they teach you to put unconscious people in first aid?
I can't lie on my back because it makes my knees ache and the duvet weighs heavy on my feet.

Good advice, Jenni. As for Doreen lying in the "unconscious" position - isn't that normal?!

glam girl that I am snuggled up with S shaped bump pillow that I used when I had Bernice. It did help a little- almost twisted to being on front but with knee resting on pillow.

I did have a terrible nightmare though- havent had one like that in a long time- i dreamt lumps of plaster were falling around me because the freemasons were cross with me!

Before I had my hips/knees replaced I used to dread going to bed, as I never got any sleep from the horrendous pain.

I find an airsprung mattress helps, this is not as expensive as a memory foam. Also lying on a duvet is quite a good alternative, with a pillow between the knees.

Best of luck
Love

The things we have to do to get some rest RollEyes . I had an altercation with the duvet the other night and nearly lost a vital chest asset due to the velcro on my writst splints Blink - not pleasant!
